To:   I. P. BABKIN

Comrade Babkin:

I have received and read your papers.

Give your business proposals concerning the shipment of
fish and the success of the autumn fishing right away (25/VII)
to Avanesov for introduction in the C.L.D. (and to Potyaev ,
of course, in the first place).

We shall let you have a holiday, if the doctor says so,
and puts it in writing that the holiday cannot be deferred
until the winter. Otherwise you can have it in winter.

I advise you to have a personal talk with Potyaev and to remove his doubts about “rivalry” on your part.
Everything will be settled if you want it .

Who is it specifically of the “local” workers that is dissatisfied with Potyaev? Why? When and where has this
been stated?

I don’t believe it: this is nothing but a squabble; we shall settle it.

24/VII.

With communist greetings, Lenin
