In view of the urgent necessity of rapidly alleviating the food crisis in the centres, which has reached exceptional severity, we request that in the order of combat urgency, which has political significance, you immediately arrange routes and dispatch to Moscow to the address of the People's Commissariat for Food two hundred fifty thousand poods of grain. The favorable results of the harvest in the Turkestan Republic make possible the rapid dispatch of the indicated quantity. Please keep the People's Commissariat for Food [Distribution] Department informed of the progress of loading and dispatch. Please confirm receipt via direct wire.
