To Molotov, Lezhava, Semashko, Bogdanov and Krzhizhanovsky

Comrade Radchenko needs leave, for he has repeatedly complained of extreme exhaustion. I request that you grant him such leave and provide him with either a sanatorium or the possibility of staying in the countryside, according to a doctor’s conclusion. In addition, Radchenko asks to be released from the People’s Commissariat of Foreign Trade and retained only for work on peat, or to be given additional work in the Chief Sugar Committee, since, as he puts it, he feels unfit for trade but fit for productive work. On this last point I request an opinion from Comrades Lezhava, Bogdanov and Krzhizhanovsky, inasmuch as the question of the Chief Sugar Committee is being considered in the State Planning Committee 170.
