7/VI.

т. Schlichter!

Thank you for the report.

I am strongly opposed to the postponement of transportation. 10-11.VI is scheduled. No postponement!

What has the Cominern and Congress got to do with it?

Nothing.

Conspiracy is necessary, but if absolute conspiracy is not possible, let them move everything.

Preferably at night, 12:00 to 7:00.

The most important thing is that you do your work as quickly as possible and with exemplary regularity and strictness.

Send me the minutes - I am out of town.

The work plan should be calendarized: start at that time, finish at that time.

The first, rough review should be finished especially quickly.

With communist] regards Lenin.

1The note is devoted to the organization of the transfer of state valuables from the Gokhran to the Kremlin vault. It was addressed by Lenin to the chairman of the Special Commission of the Central Committee of the RCP(b) to examine the storage of state valuables AG Shlichter. May 29, 1921 Lenin signed him a mandate: "To this chairman of the Special Commission of the Central Committee of the RCP, A.G.Shlichter is given the right to appeal to all institutions with a proposal for the immediate fulfillment of all his demands, which he deems necessary to present in order to speed up the execution of the task entrusted to him. All institutions are requested to carry out the proposals of Mr. Schlichter immediately. Schlichter's proposals without delay. Chairman of the Council of Labor and Defense V. Ulyanov (Lenin)" (RCCHIDNI, f. 2, op. 1, d. 19016). At a meeting of the STO on June 1, the report on the issuance of a mandate to Shlichter was taken into account.

In the published note, Lenin answers the question posed in Schlichter's report of June 7, 1:30 p.m.: "We had planned to start the transportation from the Gokhran to the Kremlin on the night of the 10th to the 11th. However, at yesterday's meeting (on account No. 4) we unanimously found it necessary to point out to the Politburo the inconvenience of transportation during the Congress. Conspiracy under such conditions cannot be guaranteed. We ask for an urgent reply with your opinion on this matter" (RCCHIDNI, f. 5, op. 1, d. 127, l. 8). The transportation of valuables was started on June 13 and finished on the night of June 18-19. 1753 places were transported.
