RESOLUTION ON THE MEMORANDUM OF THE
KREMLIN COMMANDANT
June 6, 1921
To the Chairman of the STO, Comrade Lenin
Everything possible to improve the provision of food for the military school in the Kremlin has been done:
1. It has been agreed with the Revolutionary Military Council and the People's Commissariat of Food to leave the combat ration for the school...
2. Currently, the school is actually fully provided with food for three weeks.
3. I request your personal assistance in speeding up the evacuation of the Arsenal: all measures taken by me through the Commander-in-Chief and the Central Directorate of Supply do not speed up the matter. If we cannot evacuate the Arsenal in a month, the school will be in an absolutely hopeless situation by autumn. And therefore, I ask you, Vladimir Ilyich, to draw the attention of the appropriate authorities.

FROM A LETTER BY L. A. FOTIEVA
June 6, 1921
Lidia Alexandrovna!
Please distribute the attached, having read it, so as to know the content...
The ink I have is rubbish, as you can see: please send a small jar of good ink for a fountain pen.
Also, send the following telegram:
Kharkov, Sammer
How are the affairs of the Department of Foreign Trade in Ukraine? What is the size of your exchange fund? Is it actually available? How many steamers are on their way to southern ports? Are you sending details here in writing? To whom and when exactly did you send it? Inform me at least briefly by telegram or by phone to my secretary Fotieva.
Chairman of the STO Lenin
Check by phone whether Sammer is in Kharkov; if not, where is he, when will he return. (If by phone, write down his exact answer).
Please also send more envelopes. And a little paper.
With communist greetings
Lenin

TO THE MANAGER OF AFFAIRS OF THE SNK
June 8, 1921
Please send the following letter, without referring to me, to the relevant district and governorate
State Farm*, and then check on its execution:
A message has been received that peasants are outraged by the mismanagement on the «Gorki» state farm near Moscow. There used to be, they say, a rich
and well-organized estate, and now everything is falling apart.
The pond, where fish used to be bred, is disappearing, and now it is «going away». It is necessary
to try to find a knowledgeable person in Moscow on fish breeding and pond construction, send him to the place; give an assignment
to the «Gorki» state farm: be sure to attract the surrounding peasants,
give them a share of the profit, and a larger share, from fish farming,
but do not let the farm fall apart, but raise it up.
With communist greetings
Lenin
* Refers to the district and governorate administration of state farms.
