I am out of town. I went on vacation for a few days due to ill-health2. Yesterday I spoke with Enukidze, considering him a member of the commission for organizing the congress. I got the impression from his words that the matter is satisfactorily organized. I think that what should be done now is to pass your telephonogram in full to the Secretariat of the Central Committee so that it either summons Enukidze or immediately takes measures for checking and appoints a commission with emergency powers3.

1V.I.Lenin responds to the postal telegram of L.D.Trotsky dated June 5 (19 hours), in which he resents the poor preparation for the reception of the arriving delegates of the III Congress of the Comintern: "The arriving delegates find themselves in a desperate situation. Nothing is prepared. Despite the fact that a thousand people were expected, and about three hundred arrived, the delegates are placed 8-10 people in one room. They are deprived of the most minimal amenities of life ... It is necessary to take measures immediately and the most decisive measures, involving a fresh and strong apparatus, providing it with all the powers" (Izvestia of the Central Committee of the CPSU, 1990, No. 4, pp. 178-179).

The III Congress of the Comintern was held in Moscow from June 22 to July 12, 1921. 605 delegates from 103 organizations from 52 countries participated in its work, the delegation of the RCP(b) headed by Lenin consisted of 72 people.
