Comrade Litkens!

Let us come to an agreement, then, on the dictionary question as follows:

1) Approximately in a month (in Pokrovskii's absence) make a formal resolution and appoint a responsible person or persons.

2) On the basis of this resolution compile a work plan indicating not only responsible persons, but also expenditures and rations. [They] must begin to carry out [the work], according to the plan, from August or September.

Lenin.

*Footnote: In a letter not dated but bearing Lenin's notation "answered May 9," Litkens wrote that the dictionary matter had made no progress and M. N. Pokrovskii was supposed to inform Lenin about it. Lenin's reply is printed as the second letter.*
