2) Brief statistics on colonies and semi-colonies.

3) A map of financial dependencies. For example, on each country + with figures (millions or billions of francs), how much this country owes and how much is owed to it;
likewise comparatively 1876-1914-1921 (if we take 1876 as the culminating point of pre-monopoly capitalism).

4) Railroads of the world with notation of which country each belongs to predominantly (the British, the French, North America, etc.).

Will this come out too motley? We can find convenient forms, the main thing is to mark the predominant [features] very concisely.

5) The principal sources of raw materials for which the struggle is being waged (oil, ore, etc.) —
likewise with notations (% or millions of francs belonging to such-and-such a country).

We absolutely must insert such maps into textbooks, of course with a brief explanatory text.

We can give you an assistant statistician for auxiliary work.

I ask for your answer—will you undertake this, and when? 343

With comradely greetings, Chairman of the Council of People's Commissars V. Ulyanov (Lenin)
