ADDRESS ON THE AGENDA ITEM OF THE CONFERENCE

26 MAY
Comrades, as I have already stated, and as the very nature of the conference suggested, we had intended that the sole item on the agenda would be the question of economic policy. The remaining reports were to be of an informational nature; accordingly, I did not prepare a report on the political report. However, it seems to me that this report will ultimately have to be brought back to the same economic theme. Therefore, perhaps in order to satisfy everyone, after my report I will be asked supplementary questions, to which I will respond in my concluding remarks. I repeat: I have not prepared for this issue at all, and at present I cannot even imagine what I might say beyond the question of the tax in kind.
