Comrade Nikolayev
1*.
You informed me that Ivan Nikolaevich Chebotaryov is listed among the staff of Professor Romanov, the responsible organizer of the laboratory for electromagnetic waves in Crimea.
Ivan Nikolaevich Chebotaryov is personally known to me as an honest and diligent person. [There is probably no need for political sympathizers here, i.e., in this position.] I can recommend him.

To the Member of the Presidium of Gosplan (State General Planning Commission)
Comrade Kritsman
1) I request that a second room be provided in the former Metropole, next to the one he occupies, as he needs a separate room for his work and receptions, in addition to the one occupied by his family;
2) I request that arrangements be made for Comrade Kritsman to receive food products from some suburban, nearby, Soviet farm, due to the absolute prohibition by doctors against using products from the warehouses.

Comrade Ganetsky! Two of my secretaries are traveling to Riga:
1) Anna Petrovna
Kizas and
2) Natalya Stepanovna
Lepeshinskaya.
I have known both of them for several years through their work. Their dedication is remarkable. The work with me is grueling: no rest, no holidays. * On the margin at the top, Lenin made a note: "Rewrite on (clean) paper in 3 copies." Ed.

They are exhausted. They need a rest.
Please give them their salary in advance (a bit more) and then do not ask them for any work. Let them recuperate, rest, and get some nourishment.
Greetings!
Your Lenin.

Konstantin Emelyanov has been transferred to the Military-Engineering Academy in Petrograd. Greetings.
Lenin
1 The telegram was written on the message from GUVZ about the transfer of K. Emelyanov to the Military-Engineering Academy. On May 20, the note was forwarded by E. M. Sklyansky to Lenin. Therefore, the telegram is dated this day.

I request your assistance: these are relatives of the Swedish communist Plattsen.

We must definitely talk on the phone about Paikess (First House of Soviets No. 335). (He was in Rabkrin, worked in the Petrograd Soviet). He would like

to work primarily abroad. He has nothing against the NKVT (he knows French and a little German). He would like to work in Dalburo if it is suitably organized. He does not want to work in the People's Commissariat of Food or in cooperatives. It is not necessary for him to be in Moscow. He is also willing to do party work.

Comrade Krasin!
Gol'denberg does not want to go abroad.
He does not want to take up literature.
He wants to be useful in the economy, in the most acute areas. He is asking to join Vneshtorg.
Talk to him.
And arrange for him to have decent living conditions in Moscow.
Ask Epukidze about this. Please make sure it happens.
With comradely greetings, Lenin.
1 The note is dated mid-July because Lenin spoke with Gol'denberg during the III Congress of the Communist International, as can be seen from the correspondence about his reception. Gol'denberg I. E. — a prominent Bolshevik during the period 1905-1907. In 1917, he was a defender. In 1921, he worked for a while in the Press Bureau of the People's Commissariat of Foreign Affairs. Epukidze A. S. — Secretary of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee of the RSFSR.

Comrade Krasin!
Thank you very much for the quick resolution with Gol'denberg.
But what about meals for him and his family?
If neither you nor Epukidze can manage, please let me know immediately.
And a response to the second letter

To the doctor who will be overseeing the treatment of Comrade Béla Kun (send to the address of Comrade Zinoviev through the People's Commissariat of Foreign Affairs to the sanatorium where he is located and where he will be treated):
I request that you briefly inform me about the health condition of Comrade Béla Kun, as well as how long the treatment will take and what kind of treatment you plan to provide. —
Chairman of the Council of People's Commissars: V. Ulyanov (Lenin)
