On May 117, 1921 V.I.Lenin read the bulletin on the state of health of G.E.Zinoviev, which reported that on May 15 (in the evening) Zinoviev had a heart attack that lasted until 3 o'clock on May 16. The attacks, which had occurred before, occurring: "Due to overwork and improper way of life, from very strenuous work, irregular diet, sedentary lifestyle and lack of daytime rest. Caused by enlargement of the heart and fatigue of the heart muscle in the presence of poor and irregular digestion. Suggested: rest for 2 weeks" (RCCHIDNI, f. 2, op. 1, d. 24543, l. 4). Lenin sent the bulletin to V. M. Molotov. Following the published note, on the same day Lenin sent Molotov a second note on Zinoviev's mode of operation (see doc. 294). Both of Lenin's notes were sent by Molotov to the Orgburo, which on May 19 made the following decision: "a) Oblige Comrade Zinoviev not to receive anyone at his apartment, b) Work no more than four hours a day, c) Bring this decree to the attention of the Ptrograd Komittee and the Comintern and take a signature from the responsible workers (secretaries of these organizations) on the strict implementation of this decree. d) In Moscow the responsibility for the execution of the decree rests with Comrade Brichkina, in Petrograd - with Comrade Semyonov (from the Gubchek)" (RCCHIDNI, f. 17, op. 112, d. 174, fol. 2).
