measures, through the relevant bodies, in the prescribed manner,
to improve the housing arrangements of troops, such as:
heating, water supply, lighting, taking necessary sanitary
measures, etc., in the occupied premises, as well as providing the troops with uniforms and provisions.
3. The commissions shall report monthly on the progress of work (what is

TO THE DIRECTOR OF THE MARX-ENGELS INSTITUTE

A big request:
1) Do you know where the underlined passages
from Engels' letters are taken from? (Please return the little books.)
2) Has it ever been printed in full anywhere?
26 Lenin Miscellany XXXIV

3) If so, could you find and get it?
4) Couldn't we buy letters from Marx and Engels from
Scheidemann and Co. (after all, they are venal scum)? Or buy
copies?
5) Is there hope that we can collect in Moscow everything
published by Marx and Engels?
6) Is there a catalog of what has already been collected here?
7) Are we collecting letters from Marx and Engels (or copies)
or is this not feasible?
With communist greetings, Lenin
