Dear friend!
Please drop me a line about what is wrong with you. Times are awful: typhus, influenza, Spanish flu, cholera.
I just got up and am not going out. Nadya has 39° and she asked to see you.
What is your temperature?
Do you need anything for treatment? I beg you to write frankly.
Get well soon!
Your Lenin

Dear friend!
Write whether the doctor came and what he said.
You must follow it exactly.
The telephone is broken again. I ordered it to be repaired and I ask your daughters to call me about your health.
You must follow everything the doctor said exactly.

February 16–17, 1920
Going out with a t° of 38° (and up to 39°) is downright madness! I strongly urge you not to go out and to tell your daughters from me, that I ask them to watch and not let
You
1)
out until completely restoring normal temperature and 2) until the doctor's permission.
Be sure to answer me exactly on this.
(Nadezhda Konstantinovna had 39.7 this morning, February 16, now 38.2 in the evening. Doctors were there: angina. They will treat it. I am completely healthy).
Your Lenin
Today, the 17th, Nadezhda Konstantinovna already has 37.3.

RESOLUTION ON A TELEGRAM FROM ARKHANGELSK*
February 24, 1920
1) Send copies to the four indicated People's Commissariats.
2) Add: I ask them to immediately convene a meeting on this and call me with the opinion of the meeting.
_________
Lenin
* In this telegram, the Revolutionary Military Council of the 6th Army informed V.I. Lenin that ships with property purchased by the White Guard "Northern Government", with food, were arriving in Arkhangelsk. "It is necessary to send representatives of the People's Commissariat for Foreign Affairs, the People's Commissariat for Finance, and the People's Commissariat for Internal Affairs here... A representative of the Council of National Economy is especially important, because there is a lot of property. It is desirable to send experienced proletarians from St. Petersburg, at least 20 people."
