TELEGRAM TO GUBPRODKOMISSAR MYASKOV
COPIES TO THE GUBKOM OF THE COMMUNIST PARTY
AND THE COOPERATIVE DEPARTMENT OF THE MSU
SAMARA
January 25, 1920
In terms of the number of frictions and misunderstandings with the cooperative movement
Samara ranks first. I am surprised that you have not yet
established the implementation of the decree of March 20*. I suggest that you strictly
adhere to the instructions of the People's Commissariat of Food. Report what tor
peded your work, by whom was the commission established and on what basis
does the commission work that removed Chairman Mikhailov and
other cooperators. Instead of fighting individual individuals that irritates the cooperative movement, focus your efforts on the political
preparation of re-elections.

RESOLUTION ON THE LETTER OF A. M. GORKY
January 31, 1920
I apologize very much, dear Vladimir Ilyich, that I am forced to turn to you with a complaint and
request – you can’t get anywhere here... from anyone.
About a year ago by telegram of the Supreme
Council of National Economy...
I was appointed commissioner of the Kopeika printing house, which entirely
was placed at the disposal of "World
Literature". For the purpose of technical supervision and accounting, along with me, the former commissioner from the printing section
of the local SNH was also left.
"World Literature" took tremendous effort to preserve the productivity of the printing house
during the difficult year and to protect it from the devastation in which most
large, nationalized printing houses are.
*
Meaning the decree on consumer communes, published in the "Izvestia of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee" on March 20, 1919.

To Vorovsky for urgent review.
