NOTE FROM I. V. STALIN
Comrade Lenin!
When will it be possible to discuss my work at the center with you—perhaps twenty minutes would suffice?
Stalin

II. V. Stalin informed V. I. Lenin from Baku about the information he had received from G. K. Ordzhonikidze regarding the threat posed to Soviet Azerbaijan by Menshevik Georgia, which was, in effect, under the control of foreign imperialists. While outlining the practical measures proposed by Comrade Ordzhonikidze, I. V. Stalin requested that V. I. Lenin provide the necessary directives on this matter.
The first part of the document contains V. I. Lenin’s reply to I. V. Stalin’s inquiry. The second part is I. V. Stalin’s response.

REPLY FROM V. I. LENIN
1) Either today (though that seems unlikely—I’m already quite tired).
2) Tomorrow—if there is a meeting—or perhaps you could come over?
3) How about Saturday?
NOTE FROM I. V. STALIN
It doesn’t matter to me when; just accommodate your own schedule—and only your own schedule. You may come whenever you say, and whenever you choose to say so.
