1 This concerns reviewing materials pertaining to experiments on the problem of detonation at a distance using electromagnetic waves. See also the present collection, pp. 227-228.
On October 4 of that year, the following telegram was sent to Nizhny Novgorod by the Secretariat of the Council of People's Commissars: "To the Manager of the Radio Laboratory, Shorina. On Lenin's behalf, I request that you inform Botin that he must leave today by post for Moscow to meet with Stalin."

V. P. Vologdin – a prominent scientist in the field of high-frequency technology. In 1918-1923 he worked at the Nizhny Novgorod Radio Laboratory, and was one of its founders. From 1939 – Corresponding Member of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR. In 1948 he received the first A. S. Popov Gold Medal.
A. M. Nikolaev – Chairman of the Radio Council.
G. M. Krzhizhanovsky – a member of the party since 1893, in 1920 he headed the Commission for the Electrification of Russia. In 1921-1930 he headed the Gosplan.
