LETTER TO G. K. ORDZHONIKIDZE
August 18, 1920

Comrade Sergo! Inessa Armand is departing today. I ask you
not to forget your promise. You must telegraph to
Kislovodsk, issue orders to arrange for her and her son properly and see to the execution of these orders. Without checking execution, they won't do a damn thing.

Please answer me by letter, and if possible, also by telegram: "letter received, will do everything, will establish proper verification."

I earnestly ask you, given the dangerous situation in the Kuban, to establish contact with Inessa Armand so that you can evacuate her and her son, if necessary, in time to Petrovsk and Astrakhan, or arrange (her son is ill) in the mountains near the Caspian shore, and in general take all measures.

Regarding Persia and so forth, write from time to time.
You inform me so rarely.
Greetings! Your Lenin
