Note by E.M.Sklyansky

Almost nothing new, except that the commander-in-chief1* suggests that two divisions (55 from St. Petersburg and 48 from the Latvian front)1 should be thrown on Brest. They are going to Wrangel, as you remember. While he is thinking it over, whether he has decided, I don't know.

Note by V.I. Lenin

Request it now, and give me an answer.

If from the military point of view it is possible (we shall beat Wrangel without it), then from the political point of view it is important to finish off Poland.

Note by E. M. Sklyansky

I can't ask for it now, he's asleep. If you insist, I'll wake him up. I haven't talked to him in detail. I'll talk to him tonight. I think he wants to do it not so much to finish off the Poles as to prevent them from developing their success and driving us back.

Note by Lenin

We can do it at night, but we must press on: to take Warsaw in 3-5 days by all means.
