EXCHANGE OF TELEGRAMS WITH I. V. STALIN
V. I. LENIN, MOSCOW, KREMLIN
August 10, 1920. Alexandrovsk
It may well be advisable to ensure that the Galician Revolutionary Committee is granted a seat at the negotiations for an armistice with Poland.
If the Central Committee agrees, please telegraph accordingly—and in doing so, I should like to inform you that the Revolutionary Committee is nominating Mikhail Baran for the conference.

TELEGRAM TO I. V. STALIN
August 10, 1920
The Polish delegates have already crossed our front line. The first meeting of the delegations is scheduled for tomorrow; consequently, Baran’s participation from the outset is out of the question. We will now seek Chicherin’s opinion regarding his continued involvement and will report back to you.

TO THE COUNCIL OF THE CAUCASIAN Labor Army
August 10, 1920
I request that you telegraph me a detailed report on the state of the uprisings in the Caucasus and Kuban—whether they are intensifying or waning, whether all necessary measures have been taken, whether the arrival of new troops is discernible, whether their numbers are sufficient, and other pertinent details.
Chairman of the Council of People’s Commissars

INSTRUCTIONS REGARDING THE PUBLICATION OF A TEACHING ATLAS
24249
LETTER TO THE Petrograd Soviet
August 10, 1920
I request that you publish an atlas similar to the work “Railways of Russia” (published by the Cartographic Institute of A. Ilyin, Petrograd, September 1, 1918):
1) that is, in a single volume of small format;
2) with maps occupying no more than two pages per volume, ideally without the need to fold the sheets;
3) each map should feature the newly established provincial boundaries—using the same color scheme for each province as employed by Ilyin.
All district towns should be included;
4) railways should be depicted, with each station clearly marked;
5) new state borders should be indicated;
6) special attention should be given to the regions and territories that had been severed from the former Russian Empire (to be shown on a separate map);
7) several historical maps should be appended, charting the lines of the front (during the Civil War) across the various periods from 1917 to 1920.
