To Stalin:

I do not quite understand why you are dissatisfied with the division of fronts. Communicate your reasons. It seemed to me that this was necessary, given that the danger from Wrangel is increasing. Regarding the deputy, communicate your opinion on the candidate. Also, I ask you to report what promises the Commander-in-Chief is delaying. Our diplomacy is subordinated to the Central Committee and will never undermine our successes, if the danger from Wrangel does not provoke wavering within the Central Committee. From the Kuban and Don regions we are receiving alarming, even desperate telegrams about the alarming growth of the insurgent movement. They are insisting on accelerating the liquidation of Wrangel.
