To Junior Mechanic Kalinkine

In accordance with Comrade Lenin's directive, the following changes are to be made to the telephone installation in his office: 1) the private line ending in valve No. 2 of the desk switchboard, only at
such hours:
reconnect again with Comrade Sklyansky. 2) The telephone apparatus of the newly installed private line with the field headquarters is to be temporarily disconnected, but left in place in case the connection with the field headquarters through this private line needs to be restored. Check the apparatus installed in the office daily in the morning from 9 to 10 a.m. and in the evening from 5 to 6 p.m. For the matters set out in the first two points, obtain the permission of Comrade Lenin, and the latter must be carried out without fail.

Engineer Novikov
Would it not be better to hear from Kharkov if the switchboard (3rd floor, Sovnarkom) is connected not through the field headquarters (as now), but directly to the long-distance station?

+ Add: the amplifier I have on my desk (with a hanging receiver), which is now connected to my small switchboard of 10 numbers, connect with my telephone that connects my office with the main switchboard (3rd floor, Kremlin, Sovnarkom).
