RESOLUTION ON A LETTER FROM A. M. GORKY
April 29, 1920
To the Council of People’s Commissars
To date, the commission tasked with improving the living conditions of scientists has at its disposal
1,800 rations, which have been distributed among the scientists; however, since this number falls far short of meeting the needs of all scientists—and a large number of highly qualified researchers remain without rations—the commission earnestly requests that the Sovnarkom increase the number of rations to 2,000.
