At the conclusion of our conversation Lenin expressed, though not for publication, a number of sharp critical remarks about certain socialist leaders of Europe and America, from which it is clear that he does not believe in the ability or even the desire of these gentlemen to successfully advance the cause of world revolution. Apparently, he believes that Bolshevism will make its way rather in spite of these “official” leaders of socialism than with their help.
