MEMORANDUM TO THE SECRETARY OF THE COUNCIL OF PEOPLE'S COMMISSARS**
10 January 1920

Request statements from all interested parties (the Red Army Supply Administration, the Revolutionary Military Council of the Republic, etc.) and we shall place it on the agenda of the Council of Defense.

* In the telegram, the Central Military Supply Department reported to the Red Army Supply Administration concerning the deterioration in supplying the Red Army with uniforms and equipment owing to the absence of transport means, and requested measures to ensure that the military procurement organs be provided with transportation.

** The memorandum was written by V. I. Lenin on the telegram of the Council of the Caucasus Labor Army requesting the cancellation of an order from the Commander-in-Chief concerning the transfer of six younger age groups from the labor army to field units.

RESOLUTION ON THE TELEGRAM FROM THE MILITARY COMMISSAR OF THE PETROGRAD DISTRICT**
14 January 1920

To Sviderskii for report to the Council of Defense.

* In the telegram addressed to V. I. Lenin, the Executive Committee of the Don Region, for the purpose of strengthening the Soviet and military apparatus and cleansing the Don Region of remnants of White Guard activity, requested the dispatch of workers from the provinces adjacent to the Don Region, proposing "to withdraw several workers from each district military commissariat and a platoon from each guard battalion, with supervision of the personnel of the Party commissars."

** The military commissar reported to Lenin on the catastrophic situation with the supply of troops in the Petrograd military district, especially in the newly incorporated Arkhangelsk, North Dvina, and Vologda provinces.
