Comrade Popov! Please be so kind – if it does not inconvenience you – to return to me the attached table with your review:

from the point of view of statistical science and its modern data on Russia (aa) can such a table be compiled or not (due at least to insufficient data)?

(bb) if it can, what would be the main amendments?

(vv) would any of your specialists undertake to compile such a table (even with wider fluctuations "from - to")?

Yours, Lenin

Let us assume (for rounding, for simplification and for easiest memorization) that the population of the RSFSR is 50 million

{ The norm is considered to be how much bread, meat, milk, eggs, etc., a person needs, according to science. } i.e. the norm is not the number of calories, but the quantity and quality of food.

[ Industrial workers are understood by workers, and the urban population not working is assigned to the corresponding groups in c and d. ]

Social types:

a) proletarian and semi-proletarian urban population

b) same – rural

c) the middle peasantry and the petty-bourgeois population closest to it in general

d) the wealthy peasantry and the urban middle bourgeoisie

e) the upper classes.
