The end of the article "In the Servants' Hall" ought to be presented, approximately, as follows:

a) Martov's pretension to stand "above" both extremes: bourgeoisie and proletariat, both dictatorships.

b) The essence of this pretension = petty bourgeois of 1848 are pitiful and ridiculous (1793 was great) 1918 are abominable, loathsome.

c) Resolutions of the IX Soviet of the SR Party. 18–21. VI. 1919

idem[30] above both extremes, against both dictatorships etc. but in practice?

d) Attitude toward civil war? The same as Martov's: a dead end, hopelessness, to make peace on the basis of universal suffrage (= servants of the bourgeoisie).

e) "Exchange", "industry"

(for capitalism).

f) "Development in the direction of socialism – through democracy" (= reformism).

ff) Peasants and workers.

g) Reformism against the begun revolution = servants of the bourgeoisie.

h) For the Bern International

(again reformist slogans).

i) "Freedom" against dictatorship.

k) Petty bourgeois, reactionaries, waverers.

l) Those acting (Liber, Aleksinskii, Avksent'ev etc.) and those talking (Martov, Chernov etc.).

m) ΣΣ = reactionary petty bourgeois.
