Similarly, Ganetsky has requested that I grant him membership in the All-Russia Central Executive Committee.
2. Lenin
1 In a letter addressed to V. I. Lenin, the editor of the newspaper “Izvestia of the All-Russia Central Executive Committee,” and a member of the All-Russia Central Executive Committee, Yu. M. Steklov, requested that he be retained on the list of members of the new convocation of the All-Russia Central Executive Committee. On V. I. Lenin’s letter are annotations indicating that the members of the Central Committee of the RCP(b), including V. I. Lenin himself, had voted in favor of retaining Steklov as a member of the All-Russia Central Executive Committee.
Attached to the letter is an envelope bearing V. I. Lenin’s inscription:
“To be returned only to members of the CC of the RCP (confidential) (from Lenin).”
2 Ya. S. Ganetsky (Fürstenberg) had been a party member since 1896. Following the October Socialist Revolution, he became a member of the Collegium of the People’s Commissariat for Finance.
