Comrade Trotsky is mistaken: there is no whim, mischief, caprice, confusion, despair, or "element" of these pleasant (whipped by Trotsky with terrible irony) qualities here. But there is something that Trotsky has bypassed: the majority of the Central Committee has come to the conviction that
