NOTES ON THE STATUTE OF THE TRADE UNION OF WORKERS IN AGRICULTURE AND THE SUGAR INDUSTRY.
[Before April 5, 1919]
Aims of the union.
1) The Union of Workers in Agriculture and the Sugar Industry aims at the development of state industry, attracting its members to active participation in the construction of agriculture in the sugar industry, and regulating the legal, economic and professional needs of its members.
2) In accordance with this goal, the tasks of the Union include:
a) Assisting its members in the organization of all kinds of collectives (artels, societies and partnerships) for the joint cultivation of land, both allotted according to norms and from the nationalized land fund, the use of complex machinery, the conduct of rational farming, crop rotation, etc.
b) Establishing a working day of no more than 8 hours.
c) Establishing a weekly continuous rest of at least 36 hours.
d) Preparation and development of materials for the establishment of fixed prices for agricultural products, by-products and waste products of the sugar industry. Development of wage rates in agriculture, etc.
e) Organization of intermediary operations both for the supply of its members and other organizations with essential goods (iron, coal, salt, seed material, etc.), as well as tools of production and for the sale of agricultural products, the organization of productive collectives.
f) Introduction of state insurance for workers against accidents: illness, disability, unemployment, maternity insurance, widows and orphans, with the costs borne by the state.

Composition of the union.
Note. ...4) In particularly exceptional cases, unions may also admit persons who do not work in agriculture or the sugar industry, but who can benefit the union with their labor, knowledge and experience.
