RESOLUTION ON A LETTER
ABOUT SNOW REMOVAL ON MOSCOW STREETS
March 27, 1919
Dear Comrades! Answer, according to which decree were the residents of the Vulfovich house driven out
at 2 a.m. to clear snow in front of their house...
The residents were not notified in a timely manner that
they needed to clear the snow. They found out about this only then,
when they began going around to the apartments and waking people up.
The residents were threatened with six months in prison,
if they did not go to work. But what turned out?
The residents went to work, but there were only enough tools for 1/5 of those who came to work, 4/5 had
to stand and watch.
My opinion is—one should not act so harshly and thoughtlessly,
but one should establish a labor queue in each house for clearing snow in front of their house. This decision
can only be welcomed. If they continue to drive people out
of apartments to work like this, then there may also be robberies. One of the participants in the works from the 11th
to the 12th of March.
