January 12, 1919
According to data from Komprod and the Commune, several
hundred unloaded railcars have accumulated in the Petrograd hub,
including those with food. On behalf of the Council of Defense, it is
proposed to take all measures for the immediate unloading and release
of railcars, especially those with food cargo.

TELEGRAM TO THE YURYEV-POLSKY UYEZD FOOD COMMITTEE
January 14, 1919
I have received a statement from eight workers in the Ivanovo-Kineshma
district regarding the requisition of 19 poods of oats from them. Immediately
investigate the reasons for the requisition. If the requisition is incorrect,
immediately return the oats and bring those responsible
to justice.

RESOLUTION
ON A TELEGRAM FROM A DEMOBILIZED
COMMANDER**
January 16, 1919
To Sklyansky for taking measures and for a response.

* Pashkov was the head of the railway militia in one of the districts of Tula
Governorate. In a telegram addressed to the Council of Defense, he provided specific
data on the number of workers and carts engaged in clearing railway tracks
of snowdrifts, and reported on the normal movement of trains on the assigned
sections of the railway.
** The resolution was written on a telegram from a demobilized commander
who arrived in Mogilev from the Eastern Front after being wounded. The author
of the telegram complained about the gubernia military commissar and the gubernia party committee, who did not provide
him with assistance in being sent to work.
