1At the end of 1918. Petrograd Cheka arrested a group (8 people) of officers of the former General Staff. On January 8, 1919, the Council of Workers' and Peasants' Defense obliged the Cheka to report within three days on the charges brought against the officers (see: Decrees of Soviet Power. Vol. IV, pp. 599-600). Among those arrested was M.N. Suvorov. The criminal activity of officers L.V.Kvitnitsky and K.I.Zhikhor was recognized as proven, the others were released.
