To the People’s Commissariat for Food Supplies, by telephone, for a response (indicating from where and when the railcars were dispatched).
* The telegram stated:
“The situation of the population at the Sobinskaya Factory, located near the Unzola station in Vladimir County—thirty thousand people—is utterly desperate. There is no bread or other foodstuffs; disease and mortality are rampant. We urgently request immediate assistance in the form of bread shipments to alleviate the hunger of those who are starving.”
