Lenin replies:
Kolegaev told me personally, and then Zinoviev and many others, that he, Kolegaev, is an opponent of the current policy of the Left Socialist-Revolutionary Party. I have no doubt that the insanely hysterical and provocative adventure with Mirbach's assassination and the rebellion of the Central Committee of the Left Socialist-Revolutionaries against Soviet power will alienate not only the majority of their workers and peasants from them, but also many intellectuals. The entire rebellion was liquidated completely in one day. Many hundreds of people have been arrested.
Record Muravyov's statement about his withdrawal from the Left Socialist-Revolutionary Party; continue vigilant control. I am confident that, provided these conditions are observed, we will be able to fully utilize his excellent combat qualities. The struggle against the Czechoslovaks and Cossacks must be waged with triple energy.
