December 25, 1918
I recall that Podvoisky had addressed the Council of Defense*.
Why is it not on the agenda?
RECORD OF GORKI* *
Summer 1918
Along the Serpukhov Highway for roughly 20–23 versts. After crossing the railway bridge—and then a second railway bridge—take the first turn to the left (also along the highway, though a small, narrow one) and continue until you reach the village of Gorki (Gorki was once the estate of Reinbot).
The total distance from Moscow is about 40 versts.

This refers to N. I. Podvoisky’s petition requesting that a representative of the Supreme Military Inspection be included on the commission tasked with securing premises for the Red Army. On December 25, 1918, the Council of Defense resolved to appoint a representative of the Supreme Military Inspection to the commission, granting them an advisory vote.
* * V. I. Lenin frequently visited Gorki. He lived there after being wounded in 1918. In the years that followed, Gorki became one of V. I. Lenin’s favorite retreats. Beginning in the spring of 1923, he resided there almost without leaving—until the day of his death, January 21, 1924.
