ON FOODSTUFFS IN THE FRONTLINE ZONE
The Commodity Administration and the Supreme Council of National Economy are hereby instructed to dispatch specially appointed officials—supplementing those already sent—to Ukraine and to all other territories liberated from occupation, in order, in coordination with the commission headed by Comrade Krasin, to extract from these regions all raw materials and all finished products.
* The telegram serves as a reply to the following inquiry from the Chairman of the Vyshnevolotsky Uyezd Sovnarkhoz: “In accordance with a resolution of the Defense Council, the warehouses containing military supplies have been sealed, and inventories are being drawn up with utmost urgency. Given the alarming spread of typhus in the town and district, the Presidium of the Uyezd Sovnarkhoz has authorized the Department of Public Health to release hospital supplies. While assuming considerable responsibility, we respectfully request your approval.”
