EXCHANGE OF NOTES WITH E. M. SKLYANSKI

[1918, November, not later than 26]

Is it not possible to look into the matter of Dauge's son (this son is in the military aviation school)? Dauge says that his son was falsely accused of White Guard activity and for that reason (??!!) was expelled from the school — Appoint by order of the People's Commissariat for Military Affairs a commission necessarily composed of Party members and experienced people? I have no data of any kind, only doubts given the bad company he was in. Removing him from this environment, I believe, will completely cure him.

But in what bad company? With whom? When? Where was he? For how long?

I don't know the details, except what the father said, and this is obviously only concerns about his aviator comrades. I believe he is simply apolitical and will make a splendid technician if only given the opportunity. Previously the father, by his desire to keep him from aviation's dangers, spoiled his son's disposition.
