10. XI. 1918

Tonight we have received news from Germany of the victory of revolution in Germany. First, Kiel reported by radio that power there is in the hands of the Council of Workers and Sailors. Then Berlin reported the following:

"Greetings of freedom and peace to all. Berlin and its surroundings are in the hands of the Council of Workers and Soldiers' Deputies. Adolf Hoffman, deputy in the Reichstag. Joffe and the embassy staff are returning immediately."

We request that all measures be taken to inform German soldiers at all border points. From Berlin there was also news that German soldiers at the front have arrested a peace delegation from the old German government and have themselves begun peace negotiations with French soldiers.
