L. B. KAMENEV 1
OCTOBER 31, 1918
I.
LENIN'S NOTE ON THE TELEGRAM.
How to distribute?
II.
KAMENEV'S NOTE.
Yesterday there was a very stormy meeting at Tsindel's (3 thousand):
they didn't manage to take advantage of Vfa
They went to Tsyurupa, he refused.
I only calmed them down by personally declaring that I would
lobby: Ergo.** Give it to them.
III.
LENIN'S RESPONSE.
Then write an official paper and we will both sign it.
1 The exchange of notes was prompted by a telegram from the Ryazan Provincial Executive Committee
addressed to Lenin regarding sending two wagons of bread to Moscow for the anniversary of the
October Revolution. The exchange of notes apparently took place
at a meeting of the Council of People's Commissars. The date is established based on the telegram.
* The date was apparently written later by A. D. Tsyurupa. Ed.
