Berlin, Ioffe

Today at 2 p.m., two unknown individuals, having infiltrated the German embassy with a forged document from the Extraordinary Commission, threw a bomb into Count Mirbach's office. Count Mirbach, severely wounded, died. The government, whose representatives immediately visited the German embassy and expressed their indignation regarding this act of political provocation, is taking all measures to discover the murderers in order to bring them before the Extraordinary Revolutionary Tribunal. Measures for the protection of the German embassy and German citizens have been intensified. The government instructs you to immediately visit the German Minister of Foreign Affairs and express to the German government the Russian government's outrage at this act, as well as to the family of the deceased Count Mirbach to convey its condolences.
