By decision of the collegium of the Commissariat of Agriculture, N. L. Orzhitsky, director of the Department of Agriculture, was dispatched to Denmark to conduct negotiations concerning the delivery to Soviet Russia of quality seeds of vegetable plants in accordance with a contract concluded before the October Revolution by Danish firms with the former Russian Department of Agriculture.

The agreement between the government of the RSFSR and the Royal Danish Mission in Petrograd concerning the delivery of seeds was signed in Moscow on September 21, 1918 (see "Documents of the Foreign Policy of the USSR," vol. I, 1957, pp. 493—494).
