¹ Hildur Haikonen — a veteran of the Finnish Communist Party, sister of the wife
of Latukki, in whose family V. I. Lenin lived in the autumn of 1917 during the
period of his final underground activity. Lenin's telegram was a response to
Haikonen's request for assistance in enabling her and her relatives to depart
abroad; on 25 May 1918 Lenin received a telegram from her expressing gratitude
for the aid.
