The decree has been amended (though, in my view, only in minor respects—and it’s hardly worth raising a fuss over this: one could always lodge a complaint with the Central Committee—but, in my opinion, it’s not really worth the effort).
Your resignation, until it is officially accepted, carries no legal [or juridical] significance.

We are speaking here of the Food Decree, adopted at the session of the Sovnarkom and the All‑Russian Central Executive Committee on May 9 (see p. 83) and submitted to the Presidium of the All‑Russian Central Executive Committee for final editing.

The notes printed below were written in connection with the draft decree on the reorganization of the People’s Commissariat for Food Supply and the local food authorities.
This decree was subsequently

discussed at the sessions of the Sovnarkom on May 22 and 23, and on May 21 it was adopted by the All‑Russian Central Executive Committee. It was published in “Collection of Laws and Regulations,” 1947–1948, Part I, pp. 474–475.
