Dear friend! I have just received two packages for you—from among those taken out of your basket. They are packed poorly, only in newspaper paper.

But we have not yet received a single package!

Everything here is still in turmoil, although the persecution, it seems, is beginning to let up somewhat.

Are you seeing all the local newspapers?

Please write a few words about receiving this letter—best of all to the address of our newspaper secretary of the newspaper (on the envelope: personal for V. I.). Do not write to another address, it is better.

Regarding the packages, perhaps it would be best if someone coming from here would take them for you.

How did Olminsky receive you? Are you satisfied with Moscow?

Best regards!

Your V. U.
