In the "Leaf of *Pravda*" of July 6, a detailed refutation was published of the vile slander about Lenin and others being spread by the Black Hundred newspapers[26]. A similar refutation, in more concise form, was published separately as a leaflet in the name of the Central Committee of our party.

In addition to this, we need only respond to the questions being posed to us: are the rumors about the arrest of Lenin, Kamenev, Zinoviev and others true? No, these rumors are false. All the Bolsheviks named here, especially those viciously slandered by the scoundrel press, are members of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee of Soviets of Workers' and Soldiers' Deputies. Once again and again we urge all honest citizens not to believe the filthy slander and dark rumors.
