Dear friends!

So we are leaving on Wednesday through Germany. Tomorrow this will be finally decided. We shall send you a pile of little bundles with our books, papers and belongings, asking you to forward them in turn to Stockholm for sending on to us in Petrograd. We shall also send you money and a mandate from the Central Committee to conduct all correspondence and manage affairs.

Goodbye. 4 April.

We are planning to issue a little leaflet “A Farewell Letter to the Swiss Workers” in German, French and Italian.

Inessa will not have time to make the French translation; I hope that you (with Guilbeaux) will do and publish it.

An Italian translation has been promised me to be made and published by a comrade here (who knows German and Italian) Julius Mimiola. (Krummgasse. 2.) Zurich. 4.

I have given him your address. When you have the German pamphlet, send it to him (and a letter in German) and money for publication. (Here is another address of a left-wing German here, who published leaflet No. 1 of the Zimmerwald Left and may be useful again for publishing: Herrn Karl Schnepf. Thurwiesenstrasse. 8. Zurich. I shall give him your address.)

Best regards and a thousand good wishes.

I shake you warmly by the hand. Yours, Lenin

P. S. We hope to collect money for the journey for about 12 people, as the comrades in Stockholm have helped us very much.

P. S. From my letters No. 1 and No. 2 to Pravda (“Letters From Afar”), please make 2-3 copies on the thinnest paper for sending (for the information of comrades) to Paris and within Switzerland.

We shall hand over the correspondence with Paris to you: you must find a binder (super-reliable) for sending the letters to Paris in bindings (and learn some chemistry).

P. P. S. With Abramovich (inform him to hurry to leave, i.e., to get ready: we leave on Wednesday) arrange in detail about correspondence with Chaux-de-Fonds and about the
