47. Only the Swiss themselves can decide this and judge this. Only unleash the discussion.
48. Too fast?
cf. Liebknecht. What does his greatness consist of?
Two articles signed I. H. E. Th. were published in the Swiss metalworkers' newspaper (“Metallarbeiter Zeitung”) on September 16 and 30, 1916, [directed against the imperialist war.
In a footnote the editors point out that trade unions should not deal with the issue of war or think about any political actions.
See pp. 25 and 27 for more details.
At the same time, Grimm in the ninth paragraph of his theses says that in the event of war, the party must organize mass strikes in conjunction with trade union bodies (see p. 51).
See p. 29.
The eighth point of Grimm's theses, containing practical proposals for combating the danger of war, is divided into two parts:
I) International tasks and 2) national tasks (see pp. 49–51).
It is about an article published in the "Griitlianer" on July 25, 1916, regarding Grimm's theses on the military issue (see p. 31).

* MATERIALS FOR THE THESES: "TASKS OF THE LEFT ZIMMERWALDISTS IN THE SWISS SOCIAL DEMOCRATIC PARTY."
DECEMBER 1916
The four documents printed below are materials for the theses "Tasks of the Left Zimmerwaldists in the Swiss Social Democratic Party" (see Works, vol. XIX, pp. 355–342).
The initial plan (document "a") is written in ink in two columns on the last sheet of the notebook following the entry "Grimm's Theses." Additional notes (document "b") to this plan are written partly in pencil, partly in ink on the same sheet in the upper left corner and between the two columns. Since the additional notes are not connected to the main text of the plan by their location, we have separated them into a separate document. The final plan (document "c") is written entirely in ink on the reverse side of the first sheet of the notebook after the entry "Main points of the Zurich Parteitag" (see p. 54). All points of the "Final plan" except //, /9, 23, 25, 26 and 29 are crossed out.
The "Summary of the final plan" (document "g"), written on the reverse side of the last sheet of the notebook after documents "a" and "b," represents the breakdown of the plan's points into chapters. This breakdown corresponds exactly to the individual chapters of the theses' text.

The number 29 and the numbers at the following points indicate that these
additions are used in point 29 and other corresponding points
of the final theses.
The upper table is a draft tax on boarding house users, and the lower table is a draft property and income tax. In the final text of the theses: "Tasks of the Left Zimmerwaldists in the Swiss Social Democratic Party," Lenin slightly changed the second table
(see Works, vol. XIX, p. 336).
On G. Greulich's speech with the theory of "favorites" at Nena's speech at the Zurich Parteitag, see p. 35, note. 2 and Works, vol. XIX,
p. 340.

The question of the defense of the socialist fatherland was included in the fourth
point of the theses (Works, vol. XIX, p. 334).
