Dear Friends! You are wrongly raising this "history." Olga even forcibly shoved money into my pocket (I left it on the table while she was still asleep). Why deviate from the truth, comrade Olga?? That is not good.

It was you who resorted to force, and any arbitration court — should you decide to bring the matter before an arbitration court between us — will condemn you, I assure you!

For the previous lecture I took a lot of money, this time less, but nonetheless I took more than normal living expenses. This means I can pay and, having started, I must. Again, any arbitration court will condemn you here. I very much ask you not to raise squabbles and courts, not to be stubborn now that you are clearly in the wrong. I am sending money; for the restaurant dinner and for the library (after having paid once for a month, for all the rest) I have not yet paid.

I enclose 16 frs and hope that you will not insist on your demand, which is clearly unjust and incorrect.

Salutations cordiales*.

Your V. Ulyanov
