Dear G. L. Shklovsky!

I have various requests to you:

1) if it is not too much trouble for you (if it is, return them to me), exchange them at the police (you know the secretary there) for my Aufenthaltsbewilligung (or Toleranzbewilligung1*). I sent it to Bern, for here they demanded the paper ("to look at"). Apparently, I wrote the petition out of form. And now I think it is better to have the Aufenthaltsbewilligung in hand, for you may need it in the fall.

2) Send 30 ex. "Vorbote "1 No. 1 to the address Fr. Platten. Secretar. Volkshaus. Zurich. (If you do not have the mailing list, please forward Platten's order to the person who has the mailing list).

3) Send detailed invoices to Benteli to see how much the paper has risen in price.

One more personal request: I would ask you very much to try not to send Nadia any more papers on the Mokhov2 case, for it is getting on her nerves, and her nerves are bad, her Basil's disease is coming back again. I am very [very] sorry that I could not persuade you to drop this "story", not to involve K3O, not to produce papers (especially official ones...), etc. But at least since you've decided otherwise, I ask Nadia not to send anything more about this or about it. This is between us. And on this point do not write anything (so that Nadia does not know that I wrote to you, or she will worry).

I shake your hand and send my best regards to everyone, from Luda on up.

Your Lenin.
