AND NOTE ON THE LETTER BY N. K. KRUPSKAYA

11/III 1916

Dear A.! Big greetings from me. I await long letters from you. Concerning "*Kommunist*"² the situation has now changed further, because the Poles (opposition with Radek among them) took a very vile position in No. 2 of their newspaper (if you don't have it, we will send [it], and let N. I. translate it for you)³. It is inevitable that we will expose them: they are again waffling, as in Brussels⁴. And if that is so, then "*Kommunist*" loses its meaning anyway (for we cannot give them space there; we cannot print their letter of refusal). This means, it is inevitable that "*Kommunist*" cease. Let us publish instead (we have the money) a "Collection of *Sotsial-Demokrat*"⁵. Keep this in mind (it is still too early to speak about this) in conversations with the Stockholmers. I will write in more detail in the next few days.

My "plan" for peace with Yuri and Evgenia Bogdanova⁶ is as follows (my personal [plan]; don't speak about it yet, just keep it in mind): cease "*Kommunist*."

Publish a "Collection of *Sotsial-Demokrat*"" under the editorship of "*Sotsial-Demokrat*," invite them as contributors. If they want to give 1/3-1/2 of the money—excellent. If not—never mind. Let them remain as a group for transport, etc.

Regards! Your Lenin
